About SLK Partners

SLK Partners was formed by Sandi Kelly, principal/owner in 2016 after a successful 20-year career working for Camden County, NJ.  Our client's success is our goal and we achieve that by working with the best vendors and professionals in the business. We're experts at bringing together the right talent for our clients in order to meet their goals. We specialize in marketing, community outreach and events with a special focus on government, non-profits and businesses looking to expand.  Drawing on her years of experience in the public sector and various volunteer board positions, Sandi is dedicated to working on projects that make a difference.

In her last position in the public sector, she served as director of community outreach and events for Camden County. The department now holds hundreds of events each year and is responsible for communicating regularly with a half million residents through direct mail, e-news, social media and advertising. Under Sandi’s leadership the department significantly increased the county’s profile within the community through a comprehensive events and marketing strategy.  Sandi created and produced many new events including town halls, kid friendly events, senior citizen and veteran events, concerts in the parks and more.  In addition, she launched a ground up digital media campaign resulting in over 40,000 subscribers through E-news and social media platforms.

A project Sandi is most proud of is spearheading the creation of a taskforce addressing the heroin and opiate addiction epidemic our nation is facing.  She launched a public health awareness campaign to educate our residents…specifically parents and children, in order to prevent future addictions.   The campaign included community events, billboards, social media, public relations and a prevention tool-kit for use by schools, faith-based organizations, police departments and other community groups. Other initiatives of the taskforce included, equipping police departments and residents with the lifesaving drug Naloxone, advocating for policies that expand treatment access, increasing prescription medicine take-back programs and educational events including physician trainings.   Her work in the formation of this taskforce has been lauded as a model throughout the Delaware Valley.   As such, she has been sought out as a speaker by local governments and advocacy groups seeking to bring the taskforce concept to their communities to address this public health crisis.

Sandi also held positions as director of business and economic development, inter-agency coordinator & chief of staff to the freeholder director for Camden County where she acted as liaison to fourteen independent county agencies on behalf of the elected governing body. She was instrumental in strengthening relationships with the agencies, resulting in ongoing collaboration, consolidation of services and $20 million in taxpayer savings.   The strengthened relationships Sandi created laid the groundwork for collaboration with the agencies for years to follow.

As director of economic and business development for the county she was responsible for the county’s business attraction and retention programs.  She implemented business outreach programs on both the local and national level resulting in the retention of existing companies and attraction of new of companies, creating thousands of job opportunities. She also chaired the tri-county economic development collaborative which brought hundreds of South Jersey leaders together and resulted in an ongoing regional collaboration in the areas of economic development, tourism, planning, and other shared governmental initiatives.   In addition, Sandi lead the effort to launch the award winning “Shop Camden County” marketing campaign, which promoted local businesses throughout the county and raises awareness to our residents of the benefits of shopping locally.

Sandi is passionate about making a difference and volunteers in her community and serves on many boards and committees including the The Camden County Addiction Awareness Task Force, The Camden County Workforce Investment Board, and The Heart of Camden.

She is a lifelong resident of Collingswood and has two grown children.
